About 40 times a year, the UK Royals host group investitures ceremonies at one of the royal residences. Most people receiving an honor were given it as part of the Monarch’s Birthday or New Year Honor Lists.
Investitures are usually held at:
- Grand Reception Room at Windsor Castle
- Throne Room at Buckingham Palace
- Investitures may be held at St. James’s Palace due to renovations at Buckingham Palace.
- Throne Room at Palace of Holyroodhouse
