King Frederik X of Denmark – New Years Speeches

King Frederik gives his New Years Speech (Nytårstale). The speech takes place at 6 PM (GMT+1) on New Years Eve (December 31st). 

The speech is filmed live from Frederik VIII’s Palace (The King’s Residence) at the Amalienborg Palace Complex.

Frederik has continued his mother & grandfather’s tradition of ending the speech with “Gud Bevare Danmark/ God Save Denmark.” His speech is usually about 10-15 minutes long.
