How to Deal with Andrew in Old Posts

As a practice, Gert’s Royals uses the title the royal held at the time of the event being described. (e.g. Prince Charles before his reign, King Charles during reign). For posts cover events before October 30th, 2025, Andrew is usually listed as Prince Andrew. If you do not wish to see Andrew referred to by his old title, you can use this toggle.

For posts related to events after October 30th, 2025, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will always be used. There is no option to change that.

The Nobel Prizes are a prestigious international award. The prize was created to recognize those who have provided “the greatest benefit to human kind.” The prize is given in 6 categories, with 1-3 laureates in each category.

The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo, Norway each year by the Chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee. The ceremony is attended by the Norway Royal Family.
The other Nobel Prizes are awarded in Stockholm, Sweden by the Monarch of Sweden. The ceremony is attended by Sweden Royal Family.
