As a practice, Gert’s Royals uses the title the royal held at the time of the event being described. (e.g. Prince Charles before his reign, King Charles during reign). For posts cover events before October 30th, 2025, Andrew is usually listed as Prince Andrew. If you do not wish to see Andrew referred to by his old title, you can use this toggle.

For posts related to events after October 30th, 2025, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will always be used. There is no option to change that.
A state visit is the highest and most formal type of diplomatic visit. It is used to opportunity to strengthen diplomatic, economic and cultural ties between two countries.
The visiting head of state is formally invited by the host country’s head of state, who acts as the official host. A State Visit involves more formal and ceremonial elements compared to the a working or official visit.
