Description

The Army Benevolent Fund is the national charity of the British Army. The charity was founded in 1944 just before the end of the WWII. The charity was created to ensure there was continued support of soldiers, veterans and their families during peacetime.

The charity awards grants to individuals and families, and fund leading charities and organizations. Its support includes:

  • Financial assistance
  • Mental health and wellbeing services
  • Housing, mobility, and independent-living support
  • Education, training, and employment assistance
